So, it's been a while. Really, it wasn't you, it was me. I was smart, and decided to become a grad student right after undergrad. 1 more year...

While I still have a little bit left of my meager summer, I wanted to brush up on digital work.

I was finishing up a major distraction (ahem, also known as "undergraduate degree"), so now I've got a little time on my hands to devote to other pursuits, at least until the Fall, when I start my Masters.

I got my mojo back with the help of my new computer. I’ve been spending my days in the company of my Wacom, Blender, and Photoshop.

Yay. Mile marker 1000 at 4:30-ish p.m. on this most glorious Saturday. Things are looking up:

1. The black-out curtains are having an effect, I can barely see when I go outside the light is so blinding. But I got out 3 days this week. A marked improvement.

2. My ankle is still wonky, and about 1.5 times normal size. But I can walk.

3. My new lover (i.e. computer) is moving in this Wednesday... his head (monitor) came Friday. His name will be Mac and he will have an Irish accent when he talks to me in my head. We will listen to music and make beautiful art. You may not hear from me for a few days after he arrives. (I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!)

4. A friend from high school that I have not seen in 2? years is coming to visit me in my time-warp-computer-lab-monitoring job. YAY! I hope I get to play with his emo hair.
